"You can't be common, the common man goes nowhere; you have to be uncommon." - Herb Brooks, Head Coach of the 1980 USA, ”Miracle On Ice” Olympic Gold Medal Hockey Team
In the Spirit of Coach Brooks and the 1980 Miracle on Ice Team, I formed KCIce and some thing we call the UnCommon Community. KCIce is an organization established by a group of business, hockey, and civic professionals, whose mission is to promote recreational activities and ice based sports generated from new ice facilities. Our goal is to provide a unique family experience by offering an exclusive atmosphere with quality amenities.
The UnCommon Community is a program where Companies provide their support for Hockey and Figure Skating Organizations who in turn perform Charitable and Volunteer service for those less fortunate groups in need of assistance. These Leaders of Tomorrow learn quality life lessons about giving back to the community and developing a culture of helping your fellow man.
We all have the opportunity to be Uncommon in our own way. - Ken Morrow, KCIce President, 1980 ‘Miracle on Ice’ Olympic Gold Medalist, Four Time Stanley Cup Champion.
UnCommon Community whose mission is to establish a community where companies/associations provide support for youth organizations and charity outreach programs while promoting their brand and goodwill.
The youth organizations, representing highly talented hockey and figure skating teams, volunteer their time, effort and talents towards community and charitable events.
The Rink provides the venue and platform that allow businesses, youth and charity organizations to share their common passion to give back in an Uncommon way.
Together, we support each other, creating an UnCommon Community with our efforts while developing the Leaders of Tomorrow.
